Necessity is the mother of reinvention

It was supposed to be all about beautiful fonts, and paper and onto Anthropology’s most extraordinary mailout catalogues, which, if you don’t get, you MUST, because they are works of art.  Especially viewed a few months at a time, as you haven’t yet changed your address on file, and they still get delivered to your in-laws, who mail them on to you a few at a time.  They are enchanting.

But WordPress — the platform that runs this blog — told me I needed to upgrade.  Without thinking twice, I did.  Without noticing the BACK UP YOUR FILES banner flashing directly above “send.”  You know the rest.

So it’s re-invention, once again, that trips me up on a beautiful Sunday in June; a stab at a new identity.  Let’s hope WordPress isn’t up to re-invention again anytime soon, though.
